"Foot Surgery"

About: Southend Hospital

I recently had my first appointment with my surgeon back in march for surgery on my foot, i was told i would also ned to see a plastic surgeon.. this then toojk 2 more more months just to arrange.. i then had to wait for my out patient appointment.. after loads of calls and constant nagging i was finally offered one in August!! bearing in mind i was told the surgery would be done in June as this has something i have had to live with my whole life and as you can imagine was in pain and desperate to get sorted! After my surgery i had tp make more constant calls to try and get an operation date as i was informed that my surgery would be done by the end of August as i have a holiday to go on at the end of September an Cannot have an Op 6 weeks before flying... after informing this to them back in May i was assured all would be sorted by the end of August.. only to find out last week it had been left too long and the likely date of my op would now be November as i have to wait 6 weeks after my holiday!! Appauling service by southend orthopaedic Admissons and the doctor's secretary is also not very good, out of about 15 phone calls i got a answer once!! Only positive thing is that the doctor secretary is lovely and very helpful!! Other than that i am upset and unhappy with the bad treatment and false promises i have been given by Southend Hospital!!
