"Better than before"

About: Dorset County Hospital

I took a neighbour of mine to the EMU ward after he had seen his doctor. He was nervous as he is not one for being ill! Fortunately he did not have to stay long, and after some blood tests he was sent home. All the staff were great especially the practitioner nurse, who could tell my neighnour was anxious did his best to keep things light for him, he even spent time talking to me as 'NOK', despite clearly being very busy. The lovely lady doctor was so pleasant i wish I knew he name, she too spoke with both of us and kept us all up to date.Although some at the other end of the ward where very loud. I write this as I have had some poor experiences at hospital as have some friends.

Thank you for such lovely feedback on your recent visit to the assessment area on EMU with your neighbour. I am really pleased to hear how well our staff cared for your neighbour and supported you during your visit. I will pass your feedback onto the team on EMU and hope that the lady Doctor who cared for you recognises you from your feedback. I am very grateful to you for taking the time to write your review and hope your neighbour is making a good recovery. Kind regards, Alison Tong, Director of Nursing, Dorset County Hospital
