"Emergency Admission on a Friday afternoon"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

I had excellent service from admission at A&E to being allocated a bed on an assessment ward. In A&E I was accelerated up the list due to level of pain. I had a large number of tests to try identify the problem and then admitted to a ward within a few hours. I was carefully monitored over the weekend, including health checks every four hours, a scan and visits from the doctors and consultant on both Saturday and Sunday morning who analysed my problem and arranged future treatment. I had excellent care from all the staff, care and compassion and professional medical treatment.

Elizabeth Nicholson Thank you for your kind comments regarding the care that you received recently in the A/E department and Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. I am more than happy to forward the comments to the A/E and SAU Managers and their matrons for them to share with their staff.
