"Operation on 21st August 2014"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I arrived on POCU at 11am for my operation and was met by a friendly and welcoming team. POCU had recently been moved and looks clean and fresh. I was looked after from the moment I arrived to when I was walked around to Theatres. Once I arrived in Theatres I was met by a lovely member of staff who reassured me and made me feel as comfortable as possible. I woke to an amazing team in Recovery who looked after me no job to big or small! They really made the road to recovery perfect. After a short while I was moved to SDCC where I again was welcomed by a brilliant team who made sure I was comfortable and pain free. I managed to eat and drink and was feeling great so with the Dr's permission I was discharged home. I believe due to the amazing care I recieved it made the road to recovery that bit quicker! I am now resting at home and would not hesitate to reccomded Medway to anyone. Chocolates and sweets on there way to POCU, Theatres and SDCC! Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your recent planned surgical admission. I have shared your feedback with the pre-operative care unit, operating theatres recovery and Sunderland Day Care Centre, who are delighted that your patient experience was positive and you feel that it has contributed to your good recovery post surgery. Samantha Goldberg Associate Director of Operations, Surgery, Anaesthetics & Theatres
