"Lack Of Resources"

I am presently being put under some pressure to voluntarily admit myself but I really dont want to go into the Harplands. This isn't because I don't think I require urgent treatment, it's because my last stay for just two weeks in December 2013 was essentially pointless due to dramatically cut resources rendering the ward I stayed on a place for very brief detention only. During previous stays I was offered occupational therapy sessions, art therapy groups, relaxation groups, well-men group chat forum and whilst I didn't always feel well enough to engage in these services, I felt comforted by the knowledge there was a planned treatment stratedgy in place for the patients. All these services seem to have gone - even the suppertime sandwiches have been removed, which I think is petty spite. The irony though is I think the quality of the staff, both nurses and support staff, has greatly improved since 10 years ago. They seem better educated and more caring, but their hands are tied by grossly inadequate resources. Last December I was in such despair because of no distraction or treatment - except for meds whichI could have received at home - I resorted to lying at the second doctor's review to get discharged, which happened alarmingly quickly. I am therefore trying very hard to hide my current 'symptoms' to avoid a stay in what has become a detention centre, not a hospital.
