"Understanding and supportive staff"

I was admitted to Riverdale as a private day patient in 2012 and remained there for 10 weeks.

The staff were on the whole fantastic, very understanding and supportive, kept a friendly atmosphere and were able to respond to my needs accordingly including changing number and times of day I came onto the unit for. It really saved me from being in a much worse state with my Eating Disorder.

I also had a seamless transition to the NHS day service at the end of my time there - staff communicated well and I felt safe in my transition. The only gripe I did have was that although I was able to eat in Riverdale I had made little progress at home whilst I was there but this might have been due to my reluctance to eat properly!
