What I liked

when my gran was taken to the hospital she was taken to the maau unit the staff were lovely and the doctors were fabulous they ran loads of blood tests and the results came back in no time.the staff kept us in form all of the time.the care was perfect.my gran was well taken care of and is now fellin better than she ever has.Thankyou to all the staff at tameside.

What could be improved

nothing was wrong with the care but the staff did not get a break due to the amount of staff on the ward and the amount of people who needed care this was not the staff's fault as they could not leave their patients without care but fault of the headquarters for not employing more staff.

Thank you very much for submitting your comments. I will pass these on to the Matron in MAAU, who will ensure that all relevant saff get to see them. I am sure that the staff will welcome your comments, and will share my pleasure that your grandmother's recovery was so effective.

I am unsure when your grandmother was in hospital, but I assume this was recently. The hospital has been under considerable pressure throughout the winter, which is only now beginning to ease. The staff have responded really well and have worked very hard to accomodate much higher than expected numbers of patients requiring emergency admissions. We have reviewed the staffing in MAU and I am pleased to inform you that we will be providing some additional nurses for MAU, who will be appointed shortly.
