"Telling my story yet again"

After being advised by my opthamologist at Mayday Hospital, that if i had another "episode" of lack of vision, numb hands and face and not being able to communicate properly to my family to try and explain what was the matter with me, to "get to A&E immediately" - i didnt ignore it and as i was told this time - went to Mayday A&E.

I was there for 6 hours. I had to tell my symptoms 5 times, 4 of which to the wrong people. I was sent to Croydoc (the emergency doctor team) who said i should be in A&E. Then i was advised that a CT scan was necessary but i couldn't have this until Monday. Silly me having an episode on a Saturday morning.

When i came back on the Monday, the consultant that i needed to see "don't do Monday mornings...".

I have been in hospitals with this same condition for 10 years now. I am the most patient of patients, as i realise that every new person i had to give my patient history to, was only doing their job and hearing it for the first time. Surely there must be a way to just tell it once - and see the relevant team as soon as possible?
