I would like to say what excellent care I had when I finally managed to get in and have my hip replacement after 3 cancellations, I began to think it was never going to happen. I cannot fault my care at all and the food was excellent such a good idea to be able to choose what size meal you required, this definitely cut down on any waste because you weren't over ordering and wasting it. I can only give praise for this "institutional" food. I had to stay in longer than intended, a week, but felt that on my discharge I had had a bit of a holiday, especially as the other patients in my bay of the ward all got along so well and helped each other, even if it was only reading out and filing in menu cards or chivvying each other on if we were feeling a bit down. All I can say is a job well done, under a lot of pressure!
