"Fracture Clinic"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

We arrived for our appointment early,at the fracture clinic. No warning of delays. 55 minutes late for the appointment and after being told by a rude nurse they were running behind, we were seen. The doctor was fine, however unfortunately the member of the nursing staff was rude and had no bedside manner. Really disappointed as my daughter was in pain.

We are sorry to learn of your experience at the Fracture Clinic and would like to apologise that you were not kept informed of the delay in the running of the clinic and that you felt the nurse was rude. This is clearly not what we would expect from a member of our staff and sincerely apologise. If you would like us to look into this further, or if you are happy to speak to us so lessons can be learned, please contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Team at: pals@chs.northy.nhs.uk
