Well, that's the way I have to describe my recent experience in this fantastic hospital.I had both my big toes operated on last Wednesday(13th Aug) and, from start to finish,I cannot fault this hospital in any area. The surgeon, the anaesthetists, the nursing staff, the administrative staff, the domestic staff were all wonderful. The hospital is clean and very well signposted, all the equipment has notices of when it was last cleaned,as did the bed areas. The food is attractively served and I was offered food as soon as I arrived in the ward,as it was past lunch time, the same thing in the discharge lounge...which shows that people are concerned about you as a person and your individual needs.I was offered pain relief at regular intervals and they explained about keeping on top of the pain etc. When I rang for help the nursing staff answered with a smile and never said"I'll be back in a minute" and disappeared..they were very kind to me and I felt comfortable asking fro assistance. I am from the north side of Manchester but I had heard about the excellent reports of this hospital so I asked to be treated there and I'm so glad I did.Now I fully understand how they received the glowing reports.I am very, very grateful to everybody there.
"Can an operation be described as an enjoyable..."
