About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Attended A&E last Tuesday 12th August 2014. Whilst I had to wait a couple of hours ( it happened to be extremely busy at this time) for investigative treatment, I would like to praise ALL staff at Casualty and in particular Ward 22 where I received treatment. The staff were caring and sensitve and acted in a professional manner at all times. This professionality was mirrored by every member of staff from ancilliary to consultant level. I thank the hospital staff for making this ordeal more bearable due only to their expertise and professionalism. Extremely well done and thanks to all.

Dear John, What a lovely note about your care - thank you so much for taking the time to share it with us. I can only imagine how frightening the sudden onset of stroke must be. I am glad this was mitigated a little by the professionalism and responsiveness you found in A&E and the stroke unit. I am also delighted that you found comfort in every member of staff you came into contact with - it is exactly that sort of consistent excellence that we aim for every day. I will ensure the staff concerned all have the opportunity to learn just how much you have appreciated their support.
