"Feel let down by crisis team and PHC"

About: Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Crisis resolution

(as the patient),

I first got ill a few years back, refusing treatment, things were not going so well. Eventually it was best for the GP to call crisis team and have someone to come out to me. Not understanding what the service provided, I continued to ask every week, getting the same answer that they are just checking up making sure my tablets were working.

One day a member of the team came and I had just started a low does of venoflaxine tablets, upon her leaving I had a bad reaction to the med and my GP stopped me having any more. I was still unsure of why crisis team were visiting.

I started having to go to Peter Hodgkinson Centre for assessments or what I believed. It did not matter what I said to them or how bad a state I turned up in, they weren't interested and I was sent away without any answers, just more tablets. During the worst of it, I became extremely abusive and violent against myself with suicide a strong thought. I called saying was sorry but I will not be able to control how I act. I needed help there and then. I was told I was just negative and eventually they hung up! Excellent service, but it gets worse. I rang in need of help and again apologised for swearing and my "negativity* but ended in an argument with a member of the team and had a panic attack whilst they were still on the phone listening. My mum thought I was having a breakdown and when she picked up the phone someone else was at the other end!

I ended up at a&e, where a hospital doctor had to see me because there wasn't anyone available to see me from PHC. Was sent home no actions taken. I refused to speak to crisis team from then on and Archway could only help so much. I did start getting better but I had to do it alone. I can now feel I'm slipping back down a dark path and well who do I call now, because from My experience, the crisis team and phc are not bothered for patients well being.
