"Rude receptionist"

About: Mount Vernon Hospital Site

Waiting to be seen... The receptionist is unbelievably rude. Told me to see my GP. On a Sunday? When I need to be seen today. The receptionist clearly didn't want to be there, not surprised at 3.30 on a Sunday. The receptionist also told me I'd never been here before. When I had stitches here before. Their phone manor is a shocker too. Why am I paying my taxes for a receptionist who is no help? Yet to be seen by a nurse...! Hopefully that'll be better!

We would like to apologise for the standard of care that you received, it does not meet the standard that we set for ourselves. We would like to look into this matter in more detail, please contact our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on 01895 279973 As we deal with mainly Minor Injuries, our reception staff can ask the patient to call their GP if appropriate. At weekends, the answer-service should then give the contact number for the Out of Hours GP service, enabling the patient to be seen by a GP that day.
