"Best Hospital experience ever!"

I went into North Downs on the NHS for Gall Bladder Removal. The whole experience was as perfect as it could be - the nurses delightful, humorous, encouraging when needed and terribly reassuring, the surgeon a delight. My operation took longer than expected due to some complications but I came round in my gloriously comfortable bed with nurses instantly available. I struggled with the pain initially and the nurses attended to me - determined to make me more comfortable - throughout the night. Nothing was too much trouble and at a time when I felt fairly rough I could not have wanted to be anywhere else. The following morning's activity was seamlessly organised - I was given medication, a visit from the resident doctor who was kindness itself and the ever hilarious but brilliant surgeon and yet more care from the next shift of nurses. I was given a number to call 24/7 and one week on I feel amazing. I cannot believe the care I have had on the NHS - just fantastic. Thank you North Downs!
