"Stay on Huntsman 6"

About: Northern General Hospital

My daughter has severe learning difficulties. She was in Huntsman 6 for 8 weeks as she badly broke her ankle . She needed to be non weight bearing. The staff coped with her problems really well and at the end of her stay had learned basic sign language to communicate with her. Her frustrations were dealt with calmly and quickly. She built up a good relationship with the nurses who we , as a family , thank for their care and patience. She was quite sad when she walked from the ward holding ,not using, her walking frame!
