My father stopped breathing whilst in the car returning from a family meal. Luckily, we were less than 5 minutes away from the hospital. On arrival at A&E at The Alex, the ambulance crew who were outside at the time, very quickly got help and got my father out of the car and took him into the hospital to be resuscitated. He received excellent care in A&E (thank you Nurse Grace) and was quickly moved to the CCU where he is still being cared for by the excellent nurses there.
