"Perhaps we do not say "thank you" enough"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Good throughout I. e. initial consultation with surgeon at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Eye Clinic. Given a date fairly quickly for day surgery. Good treatment for pre-op assessment. Very good information on admittance for surgery from healthcare assistant, nurse, sister and visit from anaesthetist and surgeon himself.

Small complication ensued from surgery, which resulted in an overnight stay in hospital. Kind attention from nurses which also involved surgeon making unscheduled visit, for further treatment.

Only criticism is that the only two nurses on duty sat/sun were overworked and therefore inclined to be forgetful occasionally. Who can blame them? Shortage of staff definitely noticed.

Pre discharge with suitable medication professionally undertaken.

Perhaps we do not say “thank you” often enough.

We should never expect everyone to be perfect 100% of the time. After all which one of us is completely perfect all the time? We always hope nothing serious will go wrong but shouldn't we all accept some blame and some responsibility for our own hope?
