"TRAQS failed to mention I might have an operation"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

At no time did the TRAQS time mention the fact that your initial visit with the consultant would be when any operation took place if necessary. This should be pointed out to the patient at the time of booking an appointment.

Dear Crafty719

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our request for feedback.

Unfortunately as the TRAQS team arrange appointments in a number of different hospitals/clinics we do not always have the additional information you refer to. Each hospital is different and unless the hospital records the information in Choose and Book we are not aware of their specific instructions/arrangements.

I am sure you can appreciate that it is impossible for TRAQS to be aware of every hospitals way of working. Generally consultants do not operate on patients without seeing them first.

Thank you again for taking the time to respond.
