"Test not booked so now have to wait until september"

About: Shropshire and Staffordshire Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I was referred to an ophthalmic Doctor based at woodside medical practice for a “field test”. However no “field test” had been made and consequently I just saw the Doctor who although checked my eyes could not go further without the results of the field test- there were no appointments available that day so now I have to wait until at least September for the field test! ! Not sure whose error this was but very frustrating.

Dear Sailor977

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience at The Practice Ophthalmology Clinic at Woodside.

TRAQS offer the patients the available appointments but after that all aspects of your referral are dealt with by The Practice who run the clinic. Unfortunately this is the case for the Field Test as they are unable to perform the tests everyday and generally rebook the appointments so that they have the results available on the same day.

Please accept our apologies on behalf of The Practice.

If you have not received another appointment by the end of September please let us know so that we can contact The Practice on your behalf and ask them for an update on your referral.

Thank you again for sharing your feedback with the team.
