This does not say nearly enough. The Community Matron Service is by far the most efficient initiative for many years. A very reassuring and valuable contribution to reducing hospital admissions. It also allows patients the chance to recover at home, safe in the knowledge that they haven't just been discharged to free up bed spaces but are being monitored (and not abandoned). An excellent service.
