"Care on the wards"

About: St Richard's Hospital

My husband is in Selsey Ward following a knee operation and was also,in HDU. I would like to praise the nursing staff on both these wards for their care and dedication not only of my eighty year old husband but also their concern for me. I have been worried and frightened by a reaction he had to the drugs and aenestthetic he had and became very confused and hallucinating but they were. so lovely and understanding and reassuring. Thank you all so much.

We have shared this posting with the teams who will be delighted to hear that they made such a difference to your experience . We are sorry that your husband experienced such a reaction to the drugs and appreciate that this must have been very frightening for you both. We are glad that the staff were able to provide such reassurance. We hope that your husband continues to recover well at home following his surgery.
