"Central surgery (Kingston upon Thames) "

We registered recently after moving house and having a baby. So far they have been terrible. We saw the midwife, who was worried about my wife's iron levels and said to call the GP for ecg and tests asap. The central surgery initially refused an appointment until I called again. Then a doctor called and asked us to come in and prescribed my wife iron supplements.

Then she had a heavy bleed, which we were very worried about because she needed stitching and we were nervous about an infection. We called the GP and the receptionist fobbed us off saying just call the midwife. We called the midwife who said the GP should see us. I called back only after which they agreed for a doctor to call back. We went in and she needed antibiotics.

I was furious. Your GP is supposed to be your family doctor and take care of you. Instead we have lost trust that they are looking out for our best intentions. My wife is very vulnerable right now emotionally and physically. They fobbed her off every time we called and were dismissive. It's more like dealing with a massive corporate with a customer service call centre, rather than dealing with your family doctor. I am now looking at moving my family to another practice.
