"Thank you Mary and Anne-Marie (community matron service)"

About: Central Lancashire PCT / Community nursing

(as the patient),

I have recently had the Community Matron to visit me. They do an excellent job, they are very easy to talk to and they listen to what you have to say as well as pointing out what they think you need to do in order to get well again. If they think you need any other medication they don't hesitate to go to the surgery to consult my GP about it.

The matrons are very helpful to me as I have trouble walking any distance and have to rely on my sister to take me to the surgery which is not always possible. i don't like to put anyone out as regards taking me here and there. I like to remain independent as much as I can.

I really am grateful to the community matrons, who I regard as friends - they do a wonderful job. If I need them at all, they are only a phone call away. I cannot praise them enough for the service they have given me this past month.

So to Mary and Anne-Marie I say thank you for all your care.

Dear Vale648

One of the most important roles that the Community Matrons have is liaising with other healthcare services. In your case your Matron is working closely with your GP to help to make sure you are getting the best healthcare possible to help manage your condition.

Thank you for making this feedback. I will make sure Mary and Anne-Marie know about the compliment that you have made.
