"I went in feeling dreadful and blacking out and came out with a pacemaker!"

About: Derriford Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I have a lifeline where I press a button if I'm having any problems. When I blacked out I used this when I came round and the people who provide the support sent an ambulance.

The two ambulance men were wonderful. They took me to Derriford Hospital where the treatment was very good from start to finish. I went in feeling dreadful and blacking out and came out with a pacemaker!

Hi Echo280

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback - I hope you are feeling better.

It is very rewarding to hear how are staff are continuing to provide excellent care to patients when they need it most.

We can share you kind words with ambulance crew who were involved in your care, but to do this we will need a little more information. May I ask you to contact me on either 01392 261 552 or sara.coburn@swast.nhs.uk at your convenience and I can take some more information from you.

Thank you, again, for sharing your story.

Sara
