"planned induction"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Manchester)

I was booked in to have an induction 10 days before my due date as i suffer from a rare blood disorder. I was in on the Wednesday and after 4 attempts of being induced and at 11.13 on Friday 12th October my daughter arrived after 2hours and 45mins of labour where my waters were broken at only 1cm dilated. They were broken due to my platelets expiring at midnight that evening. The staff who cared for me as soon as I went into the labour room were exceptional and im forever grateful at how kind and good to me they all were.

Thank you for your comments posted on the NHS Choices / Patient Opinion website regarding your care on Ward 64 in Saint Mary’s Hospital. It was very kind of you to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff. It was reassuring to hear that you felt you were treated with kindness and great care. I can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to Mrs Julie Hempstock, Lead Midwife for Intrapartum care, and the staff involved.
