"A successful water birth"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Arrived on maternity ward at 11am. A birthing pool was filled, at my request, and the midwives were amazing. Their encouragement and the calming facilities of the birthing pool, meant that I only used the warmth of the water for pain management.

The midwives could not have been more supportive- they were amazing.

Would recommend Tameside Maternity Ward to everyone and it's such a shame that the bad press of this hospital is tainting the hard work and dedication of the midwives at Tameside.
