My dad had a stroke in June this year and ended up spending 5 weeks in Ward 21 in Monklands Hospital.
I would like to commend Senior Charge Nurse Armitt and the staff for the great care and compassion shown to both my dad and all of us as a family.
The ward was always very clean and had a calm atmosphere, the staff were always helpful when looking for an update on how things were progressing with my dad.
I cannot forget to also thanks the staff who provide support, physio's, OT's and the domestics.
The staff accommodated my dad getting out for a few hours when it was my birthday which meant so much to us as a family but more importantly it meant so much to my dad.
It's all these things that make a difference to patients and families, please keep up the excellent care.
