Very glad to be admitted to Ward 24 for this last Friday. The ward Sister, Staff Nurse, nursing auxiliaries and their teams plus the Rehab Sister all very caring and competent with me at a vulnerable time. Cath lab staff took their time and were at pains to put me at ease The doctor and the team were redoubtable while being keen to use the full range of their state of the art equipment. Boys with toys came briefly to mind but this equipment saves lives and needs to be rolled out across the NHS as a matter of urgency. Along with staff whom(as here) are extremely skilled at using it. . Every single person I spoke to in the twenty four hours I was there listened to me and acted both professionally and with timely good humour in a serious situation. This is not always the case in other hospitals.
