"Haematology clinic & Headland Unit - Such lovely..."

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I had an unexpected return of a blood disorder late 2012 and naturally was terrified. Things were a little bit more complicated this time. Arriving at the Hospital on the Saturday I was met by my consultant. He has been wonderful from that day! Genuinely caring. Either himself, his nurse or one of the team are always helpful if I have questions or feel worried between visits. Explained (multiple times) every step of treatments we could try and why we wouldn't find success in some others. When I have been admitted onto MAU, any and all of the Haem. Dr's have been brilliant. Even those not familliar with my nervousness and desire to ask alot of questions! The nurses in The Headland unit have also been fantastic. From my first ever visit they helped take my mind off the situation in hand. Which is exactly what you need! And of course, I couldn't forget the reception ladies. They make you feel at ease as soon as you walk through the door. Thank you all for making a daunting experience much easier.
