Don't forget about PALS

Basically, just to say, firstly I could not even find the hospital I wanted to write about on this website, it wasn't named as a choice of hospitals when I entered my Postcode.

Secondly, our experience in this particular hospital was not a good one at all. But I did my duty and a few months later (as my father had passed away) I met with the PALS advisor for the area and my concerns were dealt with. The hospital admitted their obvious downfalls in my father's care and I just hope that they have really learnt from our experiences.

So, please make sure you don't forget about PALS (Patient Advice Liaison Services) who can help with any complaint you have especially if you do not want to contact the hospital directly.

Thanks for this comment - as you say, the PALS service exists in all hospitals and can be very helpful when things go wrong.
