"Thank you"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I have been taken to A&E four times this year. Last Monday evening I was unwell and pressed my Lifeline. The paramedic and ambulance arrived within 5 minutes. Ambulance staff were so professional and yet managed to calm me down. On arrival at A&E I was taken to 're-sus' where I received immediate treatment by the doctor and nurse who was wonderful. I was later transferred to MAU where again the treatment was excellent. The only problem I had was with an agency nurse who had clearly failed her exam in the charm school! The newspapers are so full of adverse reports about the hospital but I have only praise for the care that I have received. Maybe I am just lucky but (except for the food) I feel that the staff work extremely hard often under difficult circumstances and are subject to constant criticism. Thank you.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. I'm really pleased to hear that for the most part, you had a good experience. All your comments have been noted, including food and nurse attitude. I hope you are doing well. John Fletcher Senior Matron - Emergency Department
