Colleen was admitted to A and E ,Queen Alexandras on 13th. July this year after suffering a stroke at Hunters Lodge Care Home, where she was in care suffering form Alzheimers. I was informed by the Care Home and attended Queen Alexandras at 12midnight. Colleen was I a deep coma and I was invited to stay with her as long as I wanted. A very welcome cup of tea was provided within minutes by a very caring member of staff and I was informed Colleen was seriously ill. I returned home and visited again with my daughter on Monday evening. On Tuesday I was asked by 'phone to attend QA again and when I arrived was told she had passed away just before my arrival. I would like to express to all members of staff concerned my sincere thanks for the manner in which Colleen, my daughter and I were looked after during this stressful time. The Bereavement service was excellent and I have only praise for all concerned. My unfortunate experience was totally opposite to the adverse comments so frequently appearing in the Press and I am so pleased to have this opportunity of expressing my appreciation. Sincerely, Dennis Paine
"Sincere thanks to staff who looked after my wife"
