About: Northwick Park Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I came to NWP Hospital for my delivery. Everything from the go was wonderful. During my pregnancy, I came to the Day Assessment Unit a number of times with concerns and was treated with friendliness, care and respect.

My delivery was relatively complicated and so I had a team of midwives, consultants and doctors caring for me during my 12 hour labour. They were all friendly and extremely helpful - I didn't hesitate asking them endless questions and I felt I was being taken genuinely care of as a person and not a patient. I was asked before they did any procedure and the midwives were gentle and patient with me.

I stayed for 2 days in the post natal ward. The midwives visited frequently and made sure I was settled and coping. At night they did frequent rounds to check the baby was well.

What could be improved

More amenity beds (private rooms)

Anything else?

Wonderful experience overall - I would definitely go there again for my next baby!
