"I have found counselling very useful"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

About 2 months ago my counselling sessions ended after about 16 weeks in total. The counselling was great, that’s all I can say. It really, really helped me.

My counsellor Lindsay saw me initially for about 8 weeks and then referred me to Robyn for other issues and more intensive therapy.

Lyndsay and Robyn have given me / taught me some really useful strategies that I am using and will continue to use to deal with the problems and manage them rather than them managing me. Both were very respectful of me as a person.

I did not hold out much hope that counselling would be helpful but I have found it very useful. My family have also seen a real difference.

I am now able to send a letter which I could not do before.

Dear Keen792,

I'm glad that you found both types of therapy you received helpful. Sometimes it is helpful to have a different therapies to work on different issues- it sounds like you have been able to make use of both and are now in a much better place.

Best wishes

Tracey
