"HMP Nottingham healthcare for patients"

About: HMP Nottingham

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I think that people that are trying to come of drugs should be on a seperate wing, this will be harder for them to use but it would help so much.

Also patients who are restricted to appointments at certain times of the day should have the right to also be seen at night instead of being singled out and placed in a tiny room for normal location to spot us and laugh. It would less stressful if we had a larger waiting room. We should also be allowed to see the dr when we ask not the nurse as they are the only ones allowed to prescribe.

Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions on how services can be improved.

The final launch of the recovery wing is scheduled and we are currently in the process of setting up this area. This will incorporate better access to staff when needed in the form of a drop in service, will create a recovery focussed agenda on this area and will also have less waiting times for patients.

The current service in regards to GPs is that you will be assessed and triaged by a nurse prior to an appointment with the GP.
