It is a totally pointless system which is just adding cost/time/ bureaucracy to the NHS. Probably in order to fudge waiting time figures. Go back to old system of direct referrals.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with the TRAQS team.

TRAQS was developed at the request of GPs within the Telford and Wrekin area to ensure that all patients were offered a Choice of where they wished to be seen as this is the right of every patient under the NHS Patient's Charter.

TRAQS are able to offer patients appointments at any hosptial in England, this means that if the patients is able and willing to travel further for an appointment they can often be seen much sooner that at a local hospital.

I can assure you that TRAQS are not here to fudge any waiting times. All of the processes within TRAQS are electonic and fully auditable.

If you are unhappy with the way in which your referral was dealt with please contact the PALS Officer at Telford CCG who will discuss your concerns
