"Satisfied with treatment given"

About: Central Lancashire PCT / Community nursing Southport & Formby District General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was more than satisfied with the care attention and availability of help and support after arriving home off holiday. I arrived home after my holiday feeling very ill and I had to call paramedics who took me to Southport Hospital. As a result of this social services were immediately on hand. Nothing was too much trouble and it was wonderful to liaise with them as well as through my doctor which took a lot of the stress off me. I thoroughly recommend the service and have only today suggested to a close friend to arrange care from the matrons for her husband who is due to be released from hospital. She is not a fit women and would also benefit from their help and support.

Dear Colourful334,

Thanks for taking the time to post your comments about the Community Matron Service which is provided by NHS Central Lancashire.

It is good to hear that you have recommended the service to your friend. I will ask the Community Matron Manager for some more information about how patients can access the service and post this on the website within the next 2 weeks.
