"Camera crew filming on route to operating theatre"

I had an orthopaedic operation on Monday 4th August.Whilst walking to the operating theatre on the 3rd floor bridge I was faced with a camera crew and a reporter filming me and three others patients.This is last thing I really needed prior to surgery as my anxiety levels went through the roof. After surgery I complained to the senior nurse on the ward which was met with raised eyebrows, but no explanation. I again attempted to obtain another explanation from the ward sister the following morning, again she could not offer any reason why a camera crew would be filming myself and other patients in a corridor. UCLH needs to answer some serious questions about its privacy dignity and care of patients. What happened to being involved in decisions such as "Do I mind being filmed in my hospital gown". Is this normal practice at UCLH to film patients at their most vulnerable ? I don't recall being informed by ward staff that I would be confronted by a film crew. Who authorised the filming ? Was I filmed while under anaesthesia? Any healthcare organisation who films a patient going for surgery without permission can never be trusted
