"Waiting for bed pans was the worst thing"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

On the 2nd of January 2008 I suffered a severe stroke. I was admitted to Chorley Hospital where I spent 16 weeks. Generally the staff attitude and nursing was good. The worst thing was waiting for bed pans. This is horrendous when buzzers aren't answered and you are unable to help yourself. maybe student nurses should be asigned this duty.
