"Grateful to be saved another trip to the hospital"

About: Northern General Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

I attended the pulmonary function unit for an exercise based oxygen test on in mid-July. The anxiety I felt prior to the test was needless. The nurse, Anya, explained what the test was all about in a clear manner and throughout the test was reassuring and encouraging.

During the test I mentioned that I had another appointment with the unit for a lung function test the following week. Anja said that she would see if she could fit me in straight after the exercise test. She managed to do this test saving me another long round trip to the hospital. I was really grateful.

An excellent service and typical of the treatment I have always experienced with the NHS proper.
