"This will be the last time I visit"

About: Knowsley NHS Walk-in Centre, Huyton

(as the patient),

Visited in July, waiting time on board

1 hr – 1 ½ hrs

Then changed to 1 ½ hrs -2 hrs

Then changed to 2 ½ hrs – 4 hrs

Then changed to 2 ½ hrs – 3 hrs

Says on board that you are not seen by time of arrival but on priority; I understand that people have issues that are more important than others but this is not acceptable. If you are not triaged as priority you keep going to the end of the waiting list to be seen.

Also the air conditioning was on which on a day like it was it was cold and uncalled for. This will by my last time I visit. No wonder people go to A&E, less waiting time. Did not wait to be seen.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your comments following your visit to Huyton walk in centre. I am sorry that you were not satisfied with the service. Triaging patients is a safe effective method to ensure that patients are seen safely however I can understand how your experience must have made you feel. The air conditioning in the waiting area is there to provide comfort for our service users during the warmer weather. It can be adjusted by the reception staff at the request of service users in this area.
