On Sunday afternoon I tripped and hurt my hand near the wrist. Although it was swollen around the wrist area I didn't go straight to A&E as I thought it might just be a sprain. On Monday however I did visit A&E.
I was more concerned that I might be wasting the staffs time but everyone who I dealt with me assured me that I was right to come to A&E.
In each of the waiting areas the atmosphere was calm, I can't fault any of the staff, they were of course professional and caring.
I have only lived near the town for just over a year and have been to the hospital only once before for an eye examination and I think it is good that we have a hospital on our doorstep.
