"Cardiology Consultant"

About: Warrington Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

The Consultant did not recognise in any way that I was using a wheelchair and sent me to Halton for a stress-test on a treadmill.

The consultant also said when I complained "They could have been doing something better than this on a Sunday" The conultant also took a referral by a consultant in the same Hospital from early Dec 2012 to early Jan 2014 for me to receive a treatment plan at Broadgreen Hospital having had a history of Heart problems since 1974. Regrettably nothing can be done.

My family and I are bitterly disappointed by this let down of what has been in the past a 1st Class service.

We'd be really grateful if you could contact us so we can look into your comments further. If that's possible, please email us via pals@whh.nhs.uk We need to know more about your experience so we can look into what happened.

Update posted by Higo (the patient)

PALS and the hospital complaints department have had the full story, but as far as I know they have done nothing to introduce any new guidelines or protocols to this department or consultant. The hospital management have written to me informing me that they are taking the matter no further and if I am dissatisfied take it to the Ombudsman!
