"All I want is an explanation and an end to this horrible ordeal"

About: Liverpool Womens Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I have experienced twelve weeks of absolute hell at the hands of the Liverpool Women’s.

Now, hopefully at the end, I received a text stating reminder appointment in 2 weeks' time at 10am, .

1. Not where

2. with whom or

3. pertaining to what

And a reminder, how can it be a reminder if I haven’t had the first appointment?

Finally after 6 phone calls and asking to be referred to a medical secretary I have established that this appointment is not necessary as I have already seen a anaesthesiologist and a referral has been made to Walton Neuro. So that was an admin error.

However, whilst on the phone, the lady who picked up the phone when passed to a medical secretary, also advised me I have an appointment next week. Again I've no information pertaining to this.

So when she establishes what its for i.e. an appointment to see a a doctor at Dovecot re: antenatal. I ask if the appointment can be earlier as I have a previous engagement at Rodney Street in Liverpool and each and every appointment has been delayed at least 2, sometimes 5 hours to date. No one can access the diary as secretary and consultant are both off.

In my opinion, its an absolute outrage and is costing the NHS millions due to poor admin. Never mind the frustration on the patient that has already experienced a horrible ordeal.

All I want is an explanation and an end to this horrible ordeal.

Last procedure was at the Womens in late July to remove a blood clot and then they found "something else". I asked a staff member before the procedure if I could see what was removed. She confirmed she would arrange this. Unfortunately it never happened.
