"Orthapedic and fracture clinic entrance 3 royal..."

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I feel I must leave a review after what I considered the poor treatment I received when visiting the orthopaedic and fracture clinic for an appointment about severe pain in my back. When I went in to see the doctor everything was rushed from walking in to leaving. The doctors manner was very abrupt and I did not get the chance to ask questions. The whole appointment lasted approx. 8 minutes and that was including a medical check. When I got into the doctors office there was little or no communication as he was talking into his Dictaphone most of the time. What has happened to the care and compassion. Once again I am disgusted by lack of time I received with the doctor and the impersonal way the doctor conducted my appointment. Are we now just lumps of meat on a factory line . Truly Disappointed.

We are sorry to hear of your experience in Fracture Clinic. Despite being a busy clinical area, we aim to see and treat all our patients as individuals and we would happily look into your case to see what lessons could be learned. If you would like us to do this, please contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Team by email at pals@chs.northy.nhs.uk
