In the vast majority of cases we had to deal with KGH, medical staff (at all levels) was very reluctant and unhelpful when it came to discussing the test results, inform of medication you are given or what if any investigations of your symptoms may follow. "results are fine" answer when in detail not of them are, "tablets for your pain" - but no name nor any possible side effects info. And that's the best we could get after being frowned at at first then asked why we are asking, then informed that most people do not ask etc etc -anything to put you off asking- is there something to hide or are we presumed so stupid we couldn't possibly understand what they may tell us? Bordering on a joke is the hospitals no smoking policy and the signs under which smokers stand outside the main entrance smoking away without being challenged at all! Majority of the front entrance hall smells of cigarettes. Outrageous. And if the hospital has any doubt the the truthfulness of this statement please review your surveillance recordings of that area. We had some great experience of medical care over 4 years ago at KGH but so much has changed since. Will unfortunately have to avoid if at all possible. Re additional info on visiting hospital and wards involved - unfortunately there are no multiple choces but experience is over the past 3 years on several different wards including outpatient visits.
