On July 21st I had the misfortune to fracture my hip. With the help of family members I was able to get myself to the Princess Royal where my misfortune turned in to a wonderful, caring experience. Although A&E was quite busy I felt I was treated as quickly and sensitively as possible. I was x-rayed and given pain relief and made as comfortable as possible. By 6am the next morning I was in a bed and on the Orthopaedic ward. At 11am I was taken to theatre after meeting my surgeon, and their Registrar. The treatment in the Recovery area was superb. I can't fault the treatment I received under the NHS. My room was very clean and checked often to make sure nothing was being missed. The nursing staff can only be described as brilliant and I wouldn't like to single anyone out. The food wasn't even too bad after all the tales I had heard! I felt I was closely monitored and helped to get on my feet as quickly as possible. I did so well they were able to let me go home on Friday the 25th. I hope all involved will enjoy reading some very positive feedback.
"Wonderful care and treatment."
