What I liked
I have recently visited a couple of my freinds at SOuthmead and was appalled to hear their stories - one (aged in late 80s) was in hospital for 6 weeks and throughout that time the communication to their family on their condition was very poor. Another, a lady in her forties, was told by a doctor that her presence on a ward had been overlooked for a few days hence she had not had a scan that she was waiting for. Wouldnt it be great if all patients were kept fully in the know about their conditions, with appropriate updates given to worried family members too ?
