All the problems stated in April are still outstanding. I certainly do not accept their explanation as it was entirely unsatisfactory. I replied accordingly, months ago, and have never been contacted by the ward concerned since. In my experience, this is precisely why complaints rarely get resolved , because the communication is appalling and practically non-existent. As time goes on, facts become blurred and far too much time is wasted replying.. A couple of years ago my mother ended up with a hospital acquired infection which was also denied and unresolved, so this is the second time I have felt strong enough to complain but unfortunately, I find the complaints procedure little more than a bad joke. There are some excellent departments at kettering, with good staff, but other parts of this hospital definitely need a huge shake up. In July this year, Mum was admitted again and was treated well, so I must stress that this review is only concerned with her stay back in April 2014.
